Annotation

This this study, based on the results of a number of scientific studies of the phenomenon of leadership in recent years, marks the main historical milestones in the formation of the concepts of “leader” and “leadership” in the language, in the mass consciousness and in the culture of modern society. A number of newly emerged provisions related to changes in the consciousness and perception of these concepts from the beginning of the 19th century to the present are also considered. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of the indirect and secondary influence of the historical variability of the content of these concepts, as well as the manipulation of these effects in the sphere of the modern political leadership of a number of states. Based on the results of the study, the socio-philosophical components of the problem of determining a complex integrative system of leadership management for modern society are identified and analyzed. In conclusion, the sociocultural features of the historical genesis of leadership are noted, which result in a pronounced cultural and historical variability and originality of the emerging phenomenology of leadership, and an overview is given of the requirements and norms that have changed in recent years for dynamically developing models of social leadership of a fundamentally new type.
