Implementation of Elective Disciplines of Social and Humanitarian Profile as a Means of Humanization and Humanitarization of Secondary Vocational Education

Annotation

The article considers the possibility of including elective disciplines of the socio-hu-manitarian profile in the variable part of the educational programs of secondary vocational education implemented by educational organizations of the city of Moscow. The authors of the article analyzed the regulatory support and methodological support for the design and implementation of this educational cycle, during which a number of problems were identified that hinder the modernization processes in the field of vocational education. Justifying the need to expand the content of the socio-humanitarian subject area in the educational programs of secondary vocational education, the main provisions of the state educational and youth policy in terms of implementing measures to create conditions for the development of students' civil and cultural identity, skills of intercultural and in-terethnic communication in the modern world are revealed. In this regard, the emphasis is placed on the goals and objectives set by the state and society for the education system, the implementation of which is possible in the case of a revision of traditional managerial, organizational and methodological approaches to the implementation of educational activities. The concept of modernization of secondary vocational education through the inclusion of elective disciplines is based on the experience of implementing university-wide elective modules in the Liberal Arts format, practiced in bachelor's degree programs at the State Autonomous Educational Institution of Higher Education in Moscow "Moscow City Pedagogical University". The article presents the main provisions of the concept, principles and approaches, the application of which will improve the quality of humanitarian training of students, increase the mobility of the content of secondary vocational education to changes in the socio-cultural environment, ensure continuity with higher education at the bachelor's level.
