Annotation
The article analyzes the role of the media as a tool for spreading ideologies through the mechanisms of propaganda, manipulation, and justification of reality. Drawing on the classical theories of Marx, Gramsci, Foucault, Habermas and others, the author explores the historical evolution of the media from print to digital platforms, the mechanisms of influencing consciousness (repetition, framing, agenda-setting, and simulacra), and the philosophical implications for society. The article also addresses ethical issues, criticism, and the prospects for countering, emphasizing the importance of critical thinking to preserve individual autonomy
