Annotation

Тhe article examines the philosophy of eco-management as a specific form of goal-setting that redefines the content and logic of governance by correlating the aims of human activity with the preservation of the natural and cultural foundations of human existence. The research problem lies in identifying the worldview limitations of the technocratic approach to management, which reduces efficiency criteria to short-term economic indicators and neglects the long-term conditions for the reproduction of life. The aim of the study is to substantiate the socio-philosophical status of eco-management as a life-preserving strategy of governance and to demonstrate its relevance in the context of contemporary environmental and civilizational challenges. The methodological framework combines an eco-philosophical perspective based on the principles of eco-rationality and life-preservation, systems thinking, and the principle of ecological responsibility as a normative foundation of managerial activity. The results show that eco-management should be understood not merely as a set of managerial tools but as a distinct type of rationality that establishes new criteria for goal-setting, performance evaluation, and institutional development. The study concludes that the integration of eco-rational principles into social development strategies and both public and corporate governance practices is a necessary condition for sustainable transformation.
