Annotation
The relevance of studying the social capital of the city is due to its connection with various spheres of urban life. The analysis of student cases allows us to identify areas in the development of social capital that are significant for students, to consider how participation in its formation affects attitudes towards the city. The interpretation of social capital is instrumental. Students, including themselves in the subject of collective action, identify initiatives related to the symbolic form of social capital, correlate cultural and social capital, highlight the specifics of the formation of social capital in the media space of the city. By studying the city as part of the educational process, participating in urban practices, including creating projects to realize the social capital of the city, students gain not only research experience, but also develop skills in civic (urban) culture. The analysis of the social capital of a particular city allowed students to highlight the strength of horizontal connections, the value of social trust, and the role of the social context in the development of urban space.
