Annotation

Understanding globalization and its impact on personality and human identity is an important task of modern philosophy. Back in the 20th century, this issue was considered within the framework of a civilizational approach to history, within which the idea of the uniqueness of individual human cultures and the originality of their development was proposed. Along with this, the issue of the influence of the Western world on local cultures was also considered, anticipating the formulation of the problem of globalization and multiculturalism. By the 21-st century, as a result of growing demographic, economic, environmental, political and military interconnections on a planetary scale, a unified mass culture has begun to exert an impact, never before seen in importance, scope and depth, on the personality and identity of an increasing number of people. At the same time, two socio-cultural tendencies have formed, which are closely interconnected: the globalization of culture and the localization of culture, as the deepening and expansion of national traditions and customs, under the influence of a collision with globalization.
