Annotation

The article considers the current state of higher education. Russian and foreign sociologists, political scientists, economists, analysts are studying new models of the education system based on the use of modern information and communication technologies in connection with the expansion of the information field, access to new resources. The necessity of improving professional competence is analyzed. Based on the conducted sociological research, the goals and values of modern education are presented. The components are identified — a rapidly changing educational environment, current scientific and technical developments, the exchange of scientific content; as well as personal and professional problems that require close research study and solution.
