Annotation
The relevance of the research is based on the students’ contradictory attitude towards the disciplines of the general humanitarian cycle, including philosophy. The article addresses the problem of the place and role of the philosophy course in the modern model of higher education. The purpose of the article is to analyze the possibilities and limits of applicability of the project method in the process of studying philosophy at a university and to assess its potential in the actualization of philosophical knowledge. The study utilizes interdisciplinary approach based on the empirical generalization, analysis and interpretation of the results of making use of the project method in the process of teaching a philosophy course by the author of the article. Listing the existing problems, the author considers the project method as one of the ways to solve them. The article analyzes the reasons for the popularity of this method in modern educational practice and proposes a specific model for the implementation of the project method as part of philosophy course at a pedagogical university. The problems of teaching philosophy are considered in the context of discussing the ratio of soft and hard skills and their relevance in modern society. The author emphasizes that the proposed model contributes to the development of critical thinking, creativity, communication skills and team building and allows to build an individual learning path, thereby increasing the topicality and utility of the course. At the same time the proposed model takes into account the necessity of attending to the classical goals of philosophy — reading and analyzing texts, development of theoretical thinking etc. The article also discusses controversial issues and problems that arise during using the project method. The model developed by the author contributes to the introduction of the philosophy of interactive technologies into teaching practice.
