Annotation

The concept of beauty is the leading principle of evolution of the Universe and man as its part and microcosm in Russian cosmic philosophy. The article reveals the concept of beauty in its ontological and epistemological quality in the philosophy of Russian cosmism of such philosophers as V. Solovyov, P. Florensky, N. Berdyaev, V. Ivanov, N. Roerich, H. Roerich. The similarity of the mentioned thinkers’ ideas about the transfor ming role of beauty, the creator and the work of art in this process, the connection of beauty with the transcendental world, beauty as an energetic phenomenon, as well as the connection of beauty with the Russian cultural tradition is considered. The notion of beauty is also comprehended in the context of the philosophy of cosmic reality of Living Ethics and in connection with the concept of Cosmic Magnet — the energy structure of the Universe, which determines the development and existence of all its constituent parts.
