Annotation

Attention to the legacy and figure of Konstantin Eduardovich Tsiolkovsky is largely limited to his aeronautical ideas; social issues, and above all projects of an ideal society, its emergence, functioning and regulation, despite a very original approach, are almost not involved in scientific circulation. Consideration of this project in the light of its trends and prospects will help to understand Tsiolkovsky’s ideas as a unified system of naturesociety-universe, and to see all the dangers that were the result of Tsiolkovsky’s understanding of society as a natural system governed by Newton’s laws. The mechanism of the cosmist philosopher led to a simplified understanding of both the functioning of society and the methods and algorithms for regulating relations between people in society. The publications of A. D. are devoted to the philosophical ideas of Tsiolkovsky. A. D. Ursul, V. M. Mapelman, S. V. Krichevsky, V. I. Alekseeva, S. G. Semenova. But, unfortunately, Tsiolkovsky’s area of interest, concerning society as the «best society», is almost not affected by Russian philosophy. The need to turn to Tsiolkovsky’s social project arose in the context of the awareness that arose in the first quarter of the 21st century of humanity becoming increasingly complex and increasingly prone to irrationalism, not understanding not only complex social processes, but also its contradictory self-awareness, fragile in the face of global changes. Tsiolkovsky’s social projects were not reflected in the publications of foreign authors, who saw in the thinker an exceptionally brilliant representative of technical knowledge. This is due to the fact that most of Tsiolkovsky’s works have not been translated into English and remain unknown to Western authors.
