Annotation

To consider the specifics of Kant’s method of cognition, such a method of formal logic as dichotomy is chosen. With its help, the fundamental basis of the philosopher’s idea of the process of cognition of the entire variety of objects of existing reality is revealed. The dichotomy, actively and fruitfully used by the philosopher himself, allows him to most clearly and fully reflect the dialectic of cognitive activity existing at the a priori level. As is well known, Kant has an abundance of concepts used by him to characterize the activity of our consciousness; the article highlights only the most significant of them. Kant, relying on the most general idea reflected in these concepts, and consistently adhering to deduction, attaches to them a great many more particular ones that serve him for the comprehensive disclosure of his worldview system.
