Annotation

Currently, the problem of the prospects for the development of mankind, including the cosmic orientation, is one of the most urgent, both in science and in philosophy. In this regard, this article examines the issues of the peculiarities of modern social and scientific and technical processes, their correlation and the right to qualify as progressive phenomena. There are signs indicating the growth of manifestations of tension and immorality in modern society, provoked by the acceleration of the pace of development of society and the renewal processes taking place in it, mainly of a technical nature. The concept of K. E. Tsiolkovsky is presented, which most fully prescribes the image of the future of humanity, the way to it and the means to achieve the tasks and ideals set. Utopian and dystopian projects widely spread nowadays, oriented towards the near space future, are characterized. The creative developments of scientists are evaluated to describe the image of a good and orderly existence of intelligent beings in space; the possibility of implementing the principle of «reverence for life». The material presents five main directions of modern research concerning the global problems of our time related to space exploration, which address issues of morality and morality. These are special (mostly technical) works in which there is a noticeable humanitarian component; the general philosophical concept of universal history; variants of the inclusion of elements of pragmatic morality in scientific theories of the cosmic range; involvement of the ideas of Russian cosmism; attempts to develop space ethics within the framework of ethical theory.
