Annotation
The article is devoted to the problem of assessing G. W. F. Hegel’s philosophy in dialectical materialism in the late 19th – first half of the 20th century in terms of its theory of the state. The relevance of the study is related to identifying the features of the perception of European philosophical ideas, with their adaptation to Russian and Soviet historical and political conditions. The study was carried out using the method of content analysis of works of dialectical materialism related to Hegelian problems. It allowed to identify the main directions of interpretations on the issue of Hegel’s theory of the state. The heterogeneity of ways of interpretations is shown, as well as some features of the development of dialectical materialism in terms of prevailing interpretations. Hegel’s ideas on the theory of the state could be interpreted both in terms of emphasizing their progressive or revolutionary significance, and in the style of designating their reactionary or conservative character. The article also describes the main factors that influenced the inconsistency of interpretations of the Hegelian theory of the state, in terms of identifying both internal philosophical reasons inherent to Russian and Soviet philosophy, and external historical circumstances. The study complements the views on the development of Russian philosophy in terms of reception and adaptation of Western European ideas, and also contributes to a better understanding of the specifics of the Hegelian interpretations in the context of significant influence of state ideology on Soviet philosophy.
