TRANSFORMATION OF THE FAMILY’S VALUE FOUNDATIONS IN A POST-INDUSTRIAL SOCIETY

Annotation

The relevance of the research is due to the contradictory attitude to the phenomenon of the family and the various formats of its embodiment in modern society, which confirms the instability and non-linearity of its development. The article is devoted to the problem of the value foundations of family formation and development in modern society. The purpose of the article is to analyze the causes of transformations of family relations and the importance of the family in modern society. The methodological basis for the construction of the study was the synthesis of an interdisciplinary approach and an integrated socio-philosophical analysis using the principles of historicism, development, determinism, and consistency. Turning to the comparative analysis of family formation in traditional, industrial and post-industrial society, the author shows the features of axiologically significant concepts of different types of culture that influenced the value and ideological orientations of individuals who determine the attitude to family and marriage. The article reveals the attitude towards the family in the post-industrial era, which is conditioned by the axiological vector of media discourse and the conditions of urban life. Media discourse with the help of manipulation technologies creates an understanding of simplified formats of love and family relationships, simulacra of love, family, parenthood. In a blasphemous urban environment, family, love relationships, and children are perceived as additional responsibilities. The formats of family relations presented in the article, dictated by media discourse and implemented in a post-industrial society, allow us to define the development of the family in a free, simplified, hedonistic way, built on the ideas of freedom, individualization.
