Annotation

The article discusses the formation of new ideas of poetesses, philosophers about the change in their own female role in public life at the turn of the XIX–XX centuries. The paper represents the creative searches of Zinaida Gippius, Zinovieva-Annibal, Anna Mar, M. V. Bezobrazova, A. Akhmatova, M. Tsvetaeva, who, under the influence of the process of emancipation in Europe, expanding access to higher education, as well as the emergence of a new type of heroines in Russian literature of the 19-th century, feel the need to realize themselves not only in their personal but also in public life. The author notes that the era of the Silver Age presented a new ideal of a woman who, overcoming herself, sought to get rid of the influence of the foundations of a patriarchal society, but at the same time preserve traditional feminine properties. The cultural and artistic space and philosophical thought of the early 20th century, demonstrating the main ideas of the era, began to pay more and more attention to the issue of gender relations, in particular, they tried to rethink the women’s question. An increasingly widespread and commonplace phenomenon was the defense of the rights of women, while sacrificing their own interests solely for ideological reasons. This trend has become a striking feature of our culture throughout the wentieth century and has not lost its relevance at the present time, transforming, of course, in the realities of the time. Unfortunately, a significant influence on the formation of aesthetic and ideological concepts was affected by the discrepancy between the prevailing standards of the feminine principle and their need for self-ssertion, which became a distinctive feature of the era.
