Annotation
The article examines patriotism as a value and target reference point for social cooperation in the spheres of education and culture. The relevance of the problem under study is evidenced by the fact that in the post-Soviet era, the attitude of Russian citizens to patriotism in different social groups ranged from complete rejection to unconditional support. The study of the reasons for this situation remains urgent. The importance of the axiological aspect is determined by the identification of value-semantic attitudes of civil identity of modern Russians, which, according to the concept of Cultural trauma (P. Shtompka), are in a continuum of two types: from the use of active strategies of coping with difficulties to a passive strategy of reconciliation with them. Based on this, the goal of the study was set: to identify effective forms and methods of managing the process of civil-patriotic education using the potential of various
social institutions. This goal determined the choice of research methods: analysis of scientific
and methodological literature; sociological survey; open surveillance; systemic and comparative analysis of the results of teaching and educational and educational activities; generalization of the accumulated experience. Applied-theoretical research has led to the conclusion that a part of today’s Russian youth, contrary to common stereotypes, has a positive civic identity. At the same time, the main identification patriotic symbols remain: victory in the Great Patriotic War, the conquest of space, the sporting successes of compatriots, as well as achievements in science, education, culture and art. At the same time, representatives of the younger generation in modern Russia do not find events and processes that could have the value value of patriotism. In the context of the crisis of civic and cultural identity and the spread of radical patriotic rhetoric by both nationalist and cosmopolitan groups, combining the efforts of social institutions of education and culture will create a multidisciplinary practice-oriented product that is in demand in modern Russian society: a scientifically grounded educational system aimed at the formation of patriotic attitudes and value orientations.
